For Desert Valley Hospice Society.  Engaged as development consultant to prepare business case and feasibility study for new programs and re-purposing of a decommissioned residential care facility.

For White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society.  Engaged as development consultant and project manager for rezoning and design development of supportive care centre.

For Desert Valley Hospice Society.  Prepared a strategic plan that aims to achieve strategic objectives set out in the Assessment: End-of-Life Care, South Okanagan.

2011

Assessment: End-of-Life Care, South Okanagan LHA 14

For Desert Valley Hospice Society.  Conducted a comprehensive assessment of end-of-life care in the South Okanagan Local Health Area 14.

2010

Strategic Plan for Proposed Residential Care Facility, Sparwood

For Elk Valley Seniors Housing Society.  Prepared a strategic plan for the proposed development of a residential care facility and the addition of supportive housing units to Lilac Terrace. 

Case Studies for New Hospice Residence, Abbotsford

For Abbotsford Hospice Society.  Prepared case studies of hospice residences in British Columbia, for use in planning a new hospice residence in a proposed Campus of Care in Abbotsford. 

2007

Burquitlam Campus of Care, Coquitlam

For Burquitlam Care Society and Burquitlam Seniors’ Housing Society.  Prepared outline for business plan and raised some funds to carry out detailed business planning.  Funds made available by CMHC and BC Housing.

2006

Demolition of the St. Vincent’s-Heather Hospital Complex, Vancouver

For Providence Health Care, Vancouver.  Managed the demolition of a 194,000 sq. ft. hospital complex, including abatement of hazardous materials, within a 5-month schedule and within budget.  Total project cost: $2,563,000.

Evaluation of Development Plan and Process for Expansion of Ridge Meadows Hospital, Maple Ridge

For Fraser Health Authority.  Evaluated planning and development process, with focus on budget overages.  Prepared a plan to get project back on track. 

Transition Plan for New Ownership and Management of Mayfair Manor, Port Coquitlam

For S-8076 Holdings Ltd.  Preparation of a transition plan for change in ownership and management of Mayfair Manor, Fraser Health Authority license application; and, recruitment of a new General Manager.

2003

Concept Plan and Feasibility Study for Expansion to Maplewood House, Abbotsford

For the Maplewood House Society, Abbotsford.  Project included rezoning of property to permit development of supportive housing units and a dementia/respite care facility. 

2002

Business Plan for Proposed Development at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, Vancouver

For Providence Health Care, Vancouver.  The business plan evaluated the potential of a P3 for Providence to relocate administrative and hospital functions from other sites, and to combine them with private uses to create value in a building of about 107,000 sq. ft.

Business Plan for Proposed Development at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver

For Providence Health Care, Vancouver.  The business plan evaluated the potential for relocation of office and research lab space, and the transfer of density, in two, alternative developments, ranging in size from 318,000 to 484,000 square feet.  It developed financial models for six combinations of land use and floor space to maximize Providence’ revenues.  Additional market research and modeling was carried out to assist Providence’ negotiating position in a public/private partnership with owners and potential developers.

2001

Continuing Care Renewal Proposals

Proposals were prepared for Fraser Health Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, for supportive/assisted living units and multi-level care beds, in collaboration with the Whalley & District Senior Citizen’s Housing Society (Kinsmen Place Lodge), St. Michael’s Centre Hospital Society, and Gibsons Lions Housing Society.

1999

Feasibility Study for Development of Private Surgical Centre

For Morguard Investments, Toronto.  Report examined the feasibility of developing a private surgical centre in the Fairmont Medical Building, Vancouver.

New Directions in Healthcare

For Morguard REIT, Toronto.  Report examined trends that may shape the future of healthcare service delivery and their affect on the company's real estate holdings in British Columbia.
